With over 12 years of experience supporting executive and corporate management teams, Emily has built a strong foundation in human resources, administration, and organizational development . Her career highlight includes leading a successful project that streamlined HR operations and boosted efficiency — resulting in a 30% increase in team productivity and client satisfaction .

She joined TEF because of its strong reputation for innovation and commitment to empowering people — values that align perfectly with her personal mission of contributing to society through meaningful work and talent development.

Driving Excellence at TEF

As a Human Resources Officer at TEF, Emily plays a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations. She supports key accounts such as Jubilee Insurance, Sanlam Tanzania, and MCC , helping manage recruitment, employee relations, and performance improvement initiatives.

Her responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a Key Account Manager and liaison between TEF and its clients
  • Supporting talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Conducting employee onboarding and training initiatives
  • Bridging communication between management and employees
  • Resolving queries and maintaining high standards of customer service

Emily’s work ensures that both our internal teams and external partners operate in a compliant, motivated, and productive environment .

Future Goals: Leading the Way in HR

Looking ahead, Emily aspires to take on a senior HR leadership role , where she can influence broader organizational culture and talent strategy. She envisions implementing HR practices that drive employee engagement and support client success across all levels of the company.

“I want to mentor emerging HR professionals within the organization,” Emily says. “I believe in fostering a collaborative environment that supports growth, inclusion, and excellence.”

Advice to Young Women in HR

To young women considering or pursuing a career in HR, Emily offers this valuable advice:

“Embrace continuous learning and seek mentorship. Building a solid network is crucial — it opens doors and provides valuable insights. Stay adaptable and be confident in voicing your ideas. Lastly, cultivate resilience — challenges are opportunities for growth.”

Outside the Office: Community and Passion

Outside of work, Emily is deeply involved in community development , particularly through women’s empowerment groups aimed at promoting financial independence and personal growth.

She enjoys cooking, reading, and learning new things that help her grow professionally and personally. Balancing her career and personal life comes naturally to her thanks to effective time management and a clear sense of priorities .

“My professional life doesn’t interfere with my personal life because I make time for each priority,” she explains.
