About the Role
TEF Consult is seeking a qualified and experienced Buyer to join a dynamic procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services in a cost-effective, timely, and quality-assured manner while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
This role also supports supplier relationship management, logistics coordination, inventory planning, and procurement reporting to ensure uninterrupted business operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and review purchase requisitions from various departments.
- Source competitive quotations from approved suppliers.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, compliance, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Verify delivery documentation and coordinate goods receipt.
- Maintain supplier records and evaluate supplier performance.
- Identify and onboard alternative suppliers.
- Coordinate import and export documentation where applicable.
- Monitor inventory levels and purchasing requirements.
- Support stock counts and procurement reporting.
- Maintain procurement records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Perform any other procurement-related duties assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education (Essential)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Logistics Management or a related field.
- Knowledge of Business Accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience using ERP or Procurement Systems.
Added Advantage
- CIPS qualification or progress toward certification.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience coordinating logistics and supplier relationships.
- Experience working with multiple vendors.
- Experience in inventory management is an added advantage.
- Import and Export experience will be an added advantage.
