Area Supervisor
About the Role
The Area Supervisor is responsible for driving sales performance, expanding and managing retail partners (shops), and ensuring effective stock control and repayment follow-up within the assigned territory.
The role requires strong field presence, leadership, and the ability to support shops in achieving sales targets while maintaining compliance with operational and credit policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development

Recruit, onboard, and manage retail shops/partners to sell products on both cash and credit terms.

Support shops in achieving assigned sales targets through coaching and field engagement.

Promote products within assigned areas and identify new growth opportunities.

Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and implement corrective measures where necessary.
2. Retail Partner (Shop) Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with shop owners and staff.

Train shop personnel on product knowledge, pricing, and sales processes.

Ensure adherence to company branding, policies, and procedures.

Provide ongoing supervision and performance feedback.
3. Stock Management
-
Monitor stock levels at the shop level and ensure timely replenishment.

Conduct periodic stock counts and verify inventory accuracy.

Ensure proper storage and accountability of products.
4. Credit & Repayment Management
-
Support shops in managing customers’ purchases on credit.
-
Follow up on customer repayments to minimize defaults and arrears.

Identify delinquent accounts early and coordinate recovery efforts.

Maintain accurate records of repayments and outstanding balances.
5. Field Operations & Reporting

Spend significant time in the field monitoring sales and operational activities.

Prepare and submit regular performance reports covering sales, stock, and repayment status.

Escalate operational risks, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
6. Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure all sales and credit processes comply with company policies.

Identify and report cases of fraud, stock misuse, or non-compliance.

Support internal audits and operational reviews when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

At least 1–2 years of experience in sales supervision, retail management, microfinance, or distribution.

Experience in credit sales or consumer financing is an added advantage.
