Territory Sales Manager (TSM)
About the Role
The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for overseeing all commercial activities in their designated area. This includes planning and executing territory strategies, driving performance against KPIs, managing distributor and retail engagement, and leading sales teams toward target delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional strategy aligned with national commercial objectives.
- Manage distributor relationships and oversee implementation of distribution and visibility plans.
- Drive revenue growth across Voice, Data, and Airtel Money products.
- Lead sales team performance and development through regular coaching and evaluation.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against set KPIs.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Ensure proper visibility of brand materials in retail and customer touchpoints.
- Drive compliance with trade policies and ensure agent/distributor satisfaction.
- Participate in launching new products, services, or sales campaigns within the territory.
- Submit regular performance reports to senior leadership
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Prince2 Project Management certification is an added advantage
- 5–7 years of working experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of telecom or FMCG sales is a plus
- Project management and basic accounting understanding preferred
