EFFECTIVE DATE: 26 AUGUST 2026 · LAST UPDATED: 26 AUGUST 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the TEF Consult website, TEF Portal, job listings, candidate accounts and online recruitment services.
1. About TEF and acceptance of these terms
The services are operated by Tanzania Empowerment Forum Limited, trading as TEF Consult (“TEF”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing the website, registering an account or submitting an application, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant service.
2. Eligibility and candidate accounts
- You must be legally able to use the service and to seek the work for which you apply.
- You must provide accurate, current and complete information and update it when it changes.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity carried out through your account.
- You must notify TEF promptly if you believe an account or document has been accessed without authority.
- One person should not create misleading or duplicate accounts or impersonate another person.
3. Profiles, documents and applications
You remain responsible for the information, CVs, certificates, identification documents, photographs, cover letters and other materials you submit. You confirm that the material is truthful, relevant, lawful, free from malicious code and that you have the right to provide it. You also confirm that any referee or third-party information is shared with appropriate authority.
You grant TEF a limited permission to host, copy, review, organise and share submitted material only as reasonably necessary to operate the portal, administer recruitment, assess an application and provide related services in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
4. Job listings and recruitment decisions
TEF aims to publish accurate vacancy information, but requirements, deadlines, availability and recruitment stages may change. Candidates must review each listing and submit an application before the stated deadline. Registration, profile completion, matching, shortlisting, an interview, an alert or an application does not guarantee employment, an offer or a response within a particular period.
Recruitment decisions may be made by TEF or by the employer/client responsible for a vacancy. Decisions will consider the role’s requirements and the recruitment process. TEF may ask for verification of qualifications, identity, work history or references.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the website or portal to:
- submit false, fraudulent, discriminatory, defamatory, infringing or unlawful content;
- gain unauthorised access to accounts, documents, servers or recruitment records;
- scrape, harvest, probe, reverse engineer, overload or disrupt the service;
- upload malware or bypass file, access, rate or security controls;
- send unsolicited advertising or misuse candidate, employer or staff contact details; or
- use automated systems in a way that harms the service or other users.
6. Communications and job alerts
TEF may send service messages needed to operate an account or application. Optional vacancy alerts and promotional messages may be managed through the available preference or unsubscribe method. Delivery can be affected by email providers, incorrect addresses or technical conditions, so users should also check the official jobs page.
7. Intellectual property
Except for user-submitted materials and identified third-party content, the website, portal design, text, branding, software and other materials are owned by or licensed to TEF and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may use them only for personal, lawful access to TEF services. No TEF name, logo or content may be copied or used commercially without written permission.
8. Third-party and cloud services
The service may rely on hosting, email delivery, security, analytics, document storage and other providers and may link to third-party websites. Their availability and separate terms may affect certain features. A link does not by itself mean that TEF controls or endorses all content on the linked service.
9. Availability, changes and account action
TEF may maintain, improve, replace, suspend or discontinue a feature and cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. TEF may restrict or suspend access, remove content or reject an application where reasonably necessary to address security, fraud, unlawful conduct, inaccurate information, breach of these terms or operational risk. Where appropriate, TEF may allow the user to clarify or correct the issue.
10. Disclaimer and limitation
The website and portal provide recruitment and information services; they are not a promise of employment or a substitute for a candidate’s own assessment of a role or employer. To the extent permitted by law, TEF is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the service, third-party systems, or information supplied by another user or employer.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right, obligation or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from fraud or wilful misconduct.
11. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in the TEF Privacy Policy. Candidates should read that policy before uploading sensitive identity or career documents.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. A concern should first be sent to TEF so the parties can seek a practical resolution. If it cannot be resolved, the matter may be referred to the competent authorities or courts of Tanzania, subject to any mandatory process under applicable law.
13. Changes and contact
TEF may update these terms to reflect service, security, operational or legal changes. The latest version will be published here with its effective date. Questions may be sent to info@tef.co.tz, by telephone on +255 758 895 188, or by post/delivery to Floor No. 23, Millennium Tower II, Tanzania.
